About Us
QIBN is a state representative body for Indigenous businesses in Queensland. We seek to advance the economic development and growth of Indigenous businesses by:
- providing a range of business support services that will assist members to grow & mature;
- facilitating linkages and connections with government and the corporate sector, especially around procurement; and
- promoting Indigenous businesses on a state, national and global level
Role Overview
The QIBN Indigenous Business Hub Coordinator will serve as the central point of contact and operational leader for the hub, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient functioning of activities and services. This individual will oversee daily operations, facilitate communication between stakeholders, and support the hub's strategic goals by implementing programs, managing resources, and fostering collaboration aligned with QIBN’s Strategic and Operational Plans.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee daily hub functions, programs and events that support QIBN members.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with industry, government, and community partners to create local place-based opportunities for verified Indigenous businesses.
Program Delivery
Coordinate workshops, mentoring, and business support activities aligned to local needs.
Resource & Reporting
Support budget allocation, resources, and data reporting through QIBN internal systems and processes to track outcomes and compliance.
Cultural Leadership
Embed cultural integrity in all hub operations, ensuring local protocols and Traditional Owner relationships are upheld.
Secretariat Support
Provide administration support to Indigenous Business Hub Advisory Committee
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in business administration, office management, community development or a related field (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in business administration, operations, and community engagement and development.here.
- Demonstrated capability working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and general technology use — or the demonstrated ability to quickly learn new digital tools and platforms.
- Proven ability to work remotely in an independent and collaborative manner.
